Friday 8th March 2013

At Ballaghaderreen (Co Mayo) @ 6pm

MAS: (Michael Walsh) Defeated Mayo (James Towey) v Kilkenny 21-1 21-1.

The Kilkenny mystro didnt take long to reach another final Ducksy has a very comfortabele victory in this semi-final



Saturday March 9th

At Garryhill (Carlow) @ 4pm OIC: Sean Ryan, John Ryan

LIS: Kilkenny (Mary Phelan) lost 13/13 to Mayo (Amy Corrigan)

Mary was always going to struggle against thois powerhouse player. Non the less mary fought all the way to the finish pushing the Mayo girl to produce her best. This is Mary's first year at intermediate and no doubt will reach the senior ranks in the very near future.




At Moycullen (Co Galway) @ 5pm

LJS: Kilkenny (Rachel Hogan) Defeated v Sinead Ni Ainlí 21-5. 21-15

Rachel faced a good Galway woman in Ni Ainli the Kilkenny Lass forged ahead with a good 21-5 win in the first but the /Galkway woman fought all the way making life difficult for the Kilfane star but the better woman on the day was Rachel and won thie /semifinal 21-15 to reach yet another All ireland final

U21S: Galway (Martin Mulkerrins) v Kilkenny (Peter Funchion) w/o inj

Peter withdrew dut to a shoulder injury



At Bofield (co Mayo)@ 3pm

Diamond Mas Bsingless : Mayo (Joe Neary) Defeated Kilkenny (Michael Dalton) 21-5. 21-5

Neary was a very trickey customer and a good all round player. While Michael never settled in to the game. The long journey told on Micgael Jimmy Shanahan was providing the support but his entusamism couldnt spur his clubmate in to action. Michael tried his best but in the end had to give second best to the better player on the day

Junior Singles : Kilkenny (William Love) defeated Mayo (Ciaran Burke) 21-17. 21-19

William started slow while Burke got off to a flyer he led the Clogh man 11-2 before william got in to his stride he levelled at 15 an forged ahead to win 21-17 in the first . The second game William dominated the first half while burke domoinated the second half up to a point when the ally became unplayable due to mousture on the floor. another nearby ally was used to finish the game. With william serving and trailing 17-19 he rettled of 4 great shory rallys to run out deserving winner 21-19
