Great Day for Kilkenny Juveniles

posted 1 Nov 2015, 15:25 by Martin Lalor
Today proved to be a great day for Kilkenny Juveniles as they won four of the six 60 x 30 All Ireland finals that they contested in Roscommon. Kilkenny produced winners in Boys U14 Singles, Jack Holden (Kilfane), Boys U14 Doubles, Kyle Dunne and Billy O'Neill (Clogh), Boys U15 Singles, Eoin Brennan (Kells) and Girls U15 Singles, Dearbhail O'Keeffe (Kilfane). Unfortunately there were two defeats on the day, in Girls U16 Doubles, Sorcha Delaney (Clogh) and Margaret Purcell (Windgap) and in Girls U17 Singles, Catriona Lawlor (Clogh).
In the Ladies championships, Kilkenny suffered another two defeats, firstly in JBD where Aishling Maher/ Aoilean Hennessy lost to Galway opposition and in Minor Doubles where Aoife Holden and Deirdre Purcell went down to Roscommon opponents.

Well done to all the players and coaches for the hard work that has been put in during the season, and to all the families and friends of the players for their continued support. Roll on 2016.
