Padraig Cooney and Dylan Caulfield travelled to St. Joseph’s Wexford to play locals Daniel Kavanagh and Dylan Bolger in the Leinster Final which they won convincly 21-4 21-10 with both lads playing some great handball. For the All Ireland semi final the lads had to travelled to Michéal Breathnach’s, Inverin, Galway and took on locals Jamie Kelly and Cían O’Conghaile, the first game the Kilkenny pair started well but the Galway pair came back to win 21-16, the second game saw the Kilkenny pair play some great handball to win 21-14 and bringing the match to a third game. This game was evenly contested but Padraig and Dylan dug deep and keep their heads winning 11-9 and winning a place in the All Ireland Final. The All Ireland Final was played in Crinkle, Offaly where Padraig and Dylan took on Jason English and John Ryan from Tipperary. The Kilkenny pair played very well throughout both games and were always in control against a very good Tipperary pair. The lads served very well and played some great passing shots and kill shots winning 21-11 21-7, great credit goes to Padraig and Dylan for the effort they put in and it showed in their celebration on the winning ace how much this All Ireland meant to them.
