All Ireland Club Title for St. Patricks

posted 11 Jul 2016, 01:56 by Martin Lalor

There was joy for the St. Patricks club at the weekend as their Junior B team of four won the All Ireland title. This recently formed club had come through Leinster with flying colours, and they continued this good form when beating Waterford and Galway opposition on Saturday at Ballymore Eustace. In their semi-final with Friary/Abbeyside from Waterford the Kilkenny team of Michael Conville, Paddy Delaney, Stephen Fitzpatrick and Stephen O’Reilly came out on top, 84-39, and in the final against Loughrea (Galway) the Pats lads were comfortable 125-25 winners against the Westerners. This was a great win for the Kilkenny city club which only came into existence at the start of this year.
